Trekking in Matheran 07OCT2018

Dated: October 0, 2018

Matheran is one of those Hill stations you can never get tired of...

My first ever trek was a Matheran trip organised by St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. Since then I have returned to Matheran several times and have always returned home amazed by it beauty.

Matheran, which means "forest on the forehead" (of the mountains) is an eco-sensitive region, declared by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. Matheran can be visited any time of the year, even in summers its quite pleasant inside Matheran. But the best time to visit is in the Monsoon and the waterfalls are flowing and nature is at its best.

This particular trek was planned for the Winter season and is meant to be an easy trek and ideal for those planning to start trekking.

Points Covered:

Garbett Point
Matheran Railway Station.
Pisarnath Mahadev Mandir
Lords Point
Charlotte Lake
Cilia Point
King George Point
King Edward Point
Echo Point
